Humphrey, Farrington & McClain, which represented 264 students who were defrauded from the Overland Park-based proprietary school, recently negotiated a $3 million settlement with the insurance company representing Wright’s corporate owner. Wright Career College closed its doors after filing for bankruptcy in April 2016. U.S. District Judge Robert Berger, who approved the settlement at a hearing on April 28. 2017, commended Humphrey, Farrington & McClain at that hearing. He said that representing the students was “a social good”. “It’s promoting good public policy in the United States,” he said.
